| I started this family history in the early 1970's, when I was a teenager. I became interested in the subject when my grandmother, Sarah Ivah Myers Kingrey, gave me a family history book to fill out. I talked to older members of the family to begin filling in names and dates, and Grandma Kingrey took me to some cemeteries to find names and dates. I was hooked! It's been a labor of love since then. I have tended to work on it in fits and starts, tackling it intensively for days or weeks at a time, then going for months without looking at it at all. I've met many wonderful and interesting people, and have made contacts with lots of folks, some of whom gave me information, and some of whom I gave information to. |
