Arrived in DuBois, Clearfield Co., PA with her husband in 1812. They started their trip from Dauphin Co., J. George II moved westward after his his business failed. He had operated a wagon service between Philadelphia-Bellefonte-Pttsburgh. The failed business cost his father Johann George his property, The elder J. George had signed a paper (lien) on his property guaranteeing his son's business and when it failed he lost his land. When the elder J.G. was younger he had surveyed land in western PA, and procured tract #92 (DuBois area) and that is where his son and wife (Maria C. Stoever) moved to. | ||||||||||||||||||||
