He was a farmer in Loramie Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio. He emigrated from Prussia. He was buried in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. In the 1880 census Andrew and Mary E. are listed as Casper's uncle and aunt.

Came first to the USA from Germany, was an uncle of Grandfather Karl Roth, brother of our great-grandfather. Then, Casper Roth, brother of Grandfather, came to USA and lived with John Roth/Reed and took the name of Reed to be heir of John Roth/Reed. |
