ANCESTRY OF THE YORK CO, PA "BOYERS" WHO MIGRATED TO DARKE, MIAMI 7 CLARK COUNTY OHIO:
First generation: Samuel Boyer, probably born about 1700 or just before, received a land warranty of 75 acres in Lancaster Co. PA dated 22 Jan 1733. An intestate record dated 1737 would seem to show that he died about this time. The tradition among some of his descendants is that he came from Switzerland. He probably had brothers, John, Martin and Jacob, all of whom lived in Lancaster PA. Sons of Samuel listed in the 1963 "American Boyers" update are Samuel, b. about 1725 and probably John b. about 1729. |
