According to a letter written to my great aunt Bertha J. Mader, (Mrs. Lloyd Harshbarger), John Adam Brehm was born in Reserliedach, Bayern, Germany. His wife Margaretha was born in Nurnburg. The letter was from a Mader cousin in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Information from the LDS Library family files gives his birthplace as Neuenbuerg, Evlp Kairlindach, Bavaria. This information also found at familysearch.org

Information from George Reed, 6/99, indicates that he emigrated in 1845 from Germany. It also gives his name as John E. Brehm.
